Over the past 30 odd years financial independence has proven to be the key ingredient that has allowed The Free School to maintain its core ideals and weather the various storms that have set back other similar insitutions.

• The Free School is not financially dependent on tuition and can therefore offer its unique education to students from all income brackets.
• The Free School is not financially dependent on Federal and State Funds and can therefore offer its unique approach to education without being challenged and constrained by federal and state policies and legislation.

The Free School, however, is dependent on a network of supporters like you.

Life Support for the School - The Free School Endowment Campaign

The Free School endowment campaign aims to make The Free School more financially independent and more sustainible.

To date the campaign has generated 20% of our 1.25 million dollar endowment goal.

Meeting our endowment goal will allow The Free School to:

• Transition volunteer teachers to become paid staff and offer 50% of a NY State Teacher salary
• Add one additional teacher.
• Critical repairs to the building.
• Monthly budget to raise the standard of building maintenence & improvements.
• Transportation to increase field trips and other out of the building learning opportunities.
